Notes/AbstractThe report documents substantial progress, in particular in sub-Saharan Africa, where 500,000 PLWH are now receiving ART, a three-fold increase in the last 12 months. But the report also acknowledges that with globally 1 million PLWH now on ART, the progress falls short of the milestone for 30 June 2005 (1,6 million) and that it is unlikely that ART will be provided to 3 million people by the end of 2005.
